Give a Direct Gift
This is the simplest way to make a difference. It can be a personal check, credit card, money order, bank draft, or electronic debit, and it will have an immediate impact on the project. A pledge may also be made and paid off within five years.
An endowment is a long-term investment in the Sunshine Hospitality Home that provides benefits to the project year after year. For endowed funds, the donor stipulates that the principal must be invested and that a portion of the return be expended to carry out the donor’s purpose.
Gifts of marketable stocks, bonds or mutual funds can create an immediate tax deduction for you based on their current value.
A gift of land, personal or commercial real estate may provide you a relatively easy way to sell your property tax free, increase your income for retirement and benefit from a charitable tax deduction with valuable tax savings.
Bequests and Planned Giving
A gift arranged through a Will or other testamentary agreement will ensure that we will be able to offer the support this or other projects will need. A charitable remainder trust, gift annuity or named endowment are all ways to make a difference and leave a lasting imprint in our communities and region.
You or your spouse’s employer may double your gift with a matching gift program. Contact your human resources department to pick up the necessary form to accompany your gift.
In Kind Gifts
In kind gifts offer the project your best resources without having to write a check. In kind gifts include construction materials, laundry services, landscaping, furnishings, specialty services, and many others.
Your charitable contribution, whether it be in the form of volunteering, making a donation, or simply spreading the word, can make a difference. Thank you for your generosity.
